Stephan:

Time is. Such a valuable. And the older you get, the more you realize how much. Time. Is spent. Just doing everyday activities. But when you take time and you relate it to relationships, You know, I there's another content creator. And I met her at up. Podcasting movement. And she said something interesting. She said that she had dumped her boyfriend. Because he wasn't her husband. And for the longest time, I was like, I was just puzzled. Like, I didn't understand it. And then, so I just kept thinking about it. I kept thinking about it. I'm like, okay, well, let's relate that to time, right? She's a woman. And time is very important, especially if she wants that children and all this other stuff. And then, so I started thinking from my point of view, you know, I'm almost 30. And when it relates to time in a relationship aspect, You start thinking, okay. I don't have time to waste on these little dating sprees. And my definition of a dating spree is we're just dating. Casually. There is no clear goals. We're just meeting up. Maybe we go out for a movie mean we offer dinner, whatever the case may be. And so. You're like, okay, well, this is nice. But then your priorities start setting in. And you're like, okay, well I want to get married. Right? I want to have kids. I want to have a house or a townhouse. I want to start building that future. I want to start saving for retirement. I want to travel a little more, whatever the case may be. This casual dating. Is not how I'm going to get to my goal. And so in a relationship aspect, you start looking at either your current relationship or you look at relationships in the future and you start going on dates, right? And you're, and I wouldn't say do this all first date, but probably beat one, two through three. You start. Asking those really tough questions. And I think for some reason my generation kind of gets it. The younger generation has no clue. Some of them haven't even been on dates like. I've asked several and I'm like, they're like, oh, well what's a date. It's like, we usually just I'm like, okay, well, Okay. You guys know what I'm talking about. And so throughout date one through three, you're trying to find out if this person is. Honestly worth your time. I hate to put it in that type of aspect, but it truly is. What it comes down to. You know, Are we vibing, right. Vibe in is probably the most key important things are our goals and values aligned. I'm not saying that they have to be. Intertwined. Like they have to be. You know, best friends, but your goal. And my goal needs to meet somewhere. In the middle. You know, if I'm talking about wanting to get married and you're like, well, I don't ever want to get married. Obviously our goals are not meeting. If I say I want, you know, Two kids and you're like, oh, well I want one. Our main goal of having a kid is there, but obviously it's going to be negotiating. About how many kids were having. But what I'm trying to get to is that time is essential. And it's become so essential. The older you get, because the more you start realizing, okay. I want certain things in my life. And so when she said that she had broken up with her boyfriend, Because it wasn't her husband. I was like, that's why it's a time. You don't want to waste time. And our relationship aspect. On someone that's not going to be there for the long haul. Or someone who doesn't have the same goals as you. What are we doing here? What are we, what are we casually dating for you? Plan on not getting married, having kids. Or wanting to move in together. Right. If our goals are not aligned, if our, if our career goals are not aligned. If things are not aligned, we are wasting time by casually dating. While we're casually dating. I'm missing out on my potential wife. Right? So just. In your free time. Think about time. Think about time that you spend on projects. Think about time that you spend at work. Think about time that you spend with friends and family. Think about time in your relationship. Now, I'm not saying go out here and go dump your relationship because you're like, Stefan told me you're a waste of my time. I did not say that at all. But if you're realizing that, then that means. You've had a come to Jesus moment. And as I said, the older you get, the more time becomes very valuable. So think about it. I have a very good show for you guys lined up today. So it will be right back with that.

Microphone (MAONO AU-AM200)-2:

And welcome back. I have a very good lineup for you guys. This evening, I would say it's about nine a PM here in. Arizona. So we have the president's son has finally been found guilty. I say finally, but they made the verdict like several days ago. He's guilty on all counts of these gun charges and that's pretty much him lying on the application saying he was not addicted to a substance while applying for a gun. Now. The more, I think about that, the more I'm like. Don't most people lie on those applications anyway, like it's, and I don't say like everyone, but like, I feel like there should definitely be more questions and just substance, like we need. Substance. Mental health. Maybe your. You know, prejudice against a certain. Ethnic background or religion. There should be some more questions on there actually. The whole application needs to be where you worked in that's something that Democrats have been pushing for, for like, you know, stricter gun control. But, you know, Are we ever going to get back and probably not. Next we're going to talk. The next topic, that, we're going to talk about Biden's administration efforts to protect the LGBTQ plus students and workers. And. On our new. What are our new segment of the show? We are spilling the tea on the D. Wait, hold on. Let me rephrase that. We are spilling the D on vitamin D. Apparently not enough of us melanated people are getting enough vitamin D and there has been a study that has been linked to us. Getting tired. I don't know about you, but I've been getting tired recently. And my best friend, Amber brought up, maybe we're not getting enough vitamin D in our diet. So we're going to spill the tea on mat. Then we have a new section and I love this section the most. It is called. Tips from our Greyhound driver. Yeah. You heard it were, we gotta talk about grey county and some of y'all need some help. All right. So all those amazing topics there will be markers throughout the entire podcast. So they'll, hadn't click on the chapter that you truly want to hear about. We'll be right back.

Stephan:

A federal jury found hunter Biden guilty on Tuesday on all three. Federal felony gun charges he faced, including that he violated laws meant to prevent drug addicts from owning firearms. The conviction. Mark's the first time a Presidents immediate family member has been found guilty of a crime during their father's term in office. Though his crimes predate, Joe Biden's. Tenure as president. And a statement hunter by him said that he was disappointed by the guilty verdict, but he is grateful for his family. His love. President. By an express support for a son and a statement and said that he would respect the judicial process. And the hunter Biden could face up to 25 years in prison and a fine up to$750,000 at sentences. Though he likely will receive far less than the maximum as a first time offender, the judge said sentencing is usually set around 120 days. Following the verdict, which means it likely will happen. Before election. Now. A couple Julie's said or jurors, I should say set a couple things. One jury said that while they were debating, if he was guilty They believe they had no choice, but the fine hunter Biden guilty, but one step of the case seemed like a waste of taxpayer dollars. Okay. Another jury said that they put hunter Biden's daughter Noemi Biden on the stand. And they said that was a mistake. They also said that they didn't judge by. Hunter lifestyle. Here's what I think. I think it was the pleat waste of taxpayer dollars. Like you're honestly telling me that no one else has lied on an application to get a firearm. Like we have. Firearm. Issues we do with school shootings. And we have to make getting a gun harder. You're telling me he's the only person. It's lied on the application. Like let's be for real. You lie about substance abuse, right? That means we should be adding way more other questions on that application. Substance. Mental health. Do you have a prejudice against someone's? Sexuality, religion. I was about to say, light skin color that's needs to be on the application too. If we're just going to start. You know, prosecuting because. He was addicted to drugs and. He lied on the application. Like I said, there's plenty of people out there who are lying on applications right now who have mental disabilities. And they're not checking that box. So. But. In a way it does bring a light to. Another key issue that. Is happening all over the country. And that is. Drug overdoses. So even though hunter Biden's criminal case is over. It did spark conversation. On. Our drug addiction. People are overdosing, left and right. And. Trying to find jurors for this trial. There were some questions that they asked the juror. So the judge overseeing the case, read aloud a list of questions. That would be used in. Wouldn't lean down the group of residents who would rule in the case against hunter Biden. One of those. He goes on to say, is, have you a family member or close friend ever suffered from drug or alcohol abuse or been addicted to drugs or alcohol in any way? The judge asked. Another question probed, whether potential. Jurors or their close associates had ever sought treatment for drug use. It says during their, at times emotional answers, prospective jurors after juror, describe how drug use had affected. People they knew. One potential juror. Describe their daughter's struggle with addiction indicating that after recovery, everybody needs a second chance. Another aspect, juror. Said their childhood best friend had died from an overdose of heroin. They go on to say, I have lost many friends to drunk overdoses. You said you had another potential juror. I feel it's an everyday part of the world these days. Let me rephrase that. They said, I feel it's an everyday part of the world these days. Recent data underscores a troubling national picture of drug overdoses. About 42% of adults in the United States say they personally know. At least one person who's died from a drug overdose. According to a survey finding published earlier this year by nonprofit research Institute hauled the rad corporation. The the report found that among adults who reported knowing someone who died from an overdose, the average number of the lives lost. Who may knew was two, which illuminates the far reaching consequences of the nations overdose crisis. It says that number doesn't even amount for the number of people who struggle with drugs and alcohol. And then have an overdose said Dr. Scott. Hamlin. The addiction expert from Boston, mass general for children. In addition to illuminating the sheer number of Americans impacted by addiction Hunter Biden's trial is also creating crucial awareness around the very language used to describe drug use. Medical experts in victim advocates, call for an end of the word use, like addict. Up to four or less judgmental descriptor, like people experiencing addiction. Addiction is a disease, according to a partnership to an addiction. It's important that we use the language that brain's it as a health issue and shows respect to people with addiction. And their families who are impacted just like we would any other disease. Words like addict are harmful because they contribute to a stigma. Said Heartland. Stigma. Makes it difficult for people to seek help, including turning to family and friends for support. Amid a national overdose crisis. We want to make sure that people who need help feel comfortable seeking it out. Addiction experts also cautioned against generalization about those using drugs, noting the issue impacts people across individual communities. Political parties. And socioeconomic status. They say the reason. For why people develop a substance use disorder. R a varied as there are human beings on the planet said. Doctor in the. Matt hall of the Oregon treatment and outreach organization, central city. Concerns. Dr. Andy said, what we can say relevantly is that poverty. Mental illness, depression, anxiety, job loss, and trauma. Are all part of the narrative of why folks seek the field different through the use substances. These addictive behaviors is not something to be taken lightly and not to be like, oh, just get a job or just get help. Portland police chief Bob day. Previously told CNN. There are demons there, that I could never understand. I want to get past some of the politics and get past some of the Critiques about who's right. And who's wrong and really recognize. That lives are in. The balance here. Addiction is a serious issue in the United States of America. I mean all over the world, but currently in our country, people are dying. Left and right. You know, but we have a Congress that's ineffective at this point because they're all on their own power trip. As I like to call them, you have committees and subcommittees that are essentially, this is what the job is for. Their job is to go to Congress. Make laws, they have these subcommittees to talk about. You know, Really important issues. And this is an issue that's not talked about. We're focused on. Trump and his guilty verdicts were, were focused on making sure that our young women. Don't have access to birth control. We're focused on making sure that women are forced to have children. We're focused on all these other issues. There are not helping the American people. Right. And I want to be very clear on what I just said. We need to focus on making sure that birth control. Is access a bowl. To all. Right. We need to make sure that abortion care is accessible to all women. We need to make sure that. All voting places are open. And people do not have to travel 45 minutes and debate whether or not they have enough gas money to get to work. And the boat. We have pressing issues. Like. What I just mentioned and Substance abuse. But as I said, We have. Ineffective Congress who is focusing on power trends. Not focusing on real American issues that can help the American people. Anyways. we're going to move on. And talk about how we by the administration is trying to. Protect LGBTQ plus students and workers. But they hit some legal roadblocks by the conservative side. We'll talk about that. And just a few seconds.

Microphone (MAONO AU-AM200)-5:

It's pride month. Ooh. Ooh, rainbows and flags and yeah, the pride parades. I have to tell you, like they are probably the most. Amazing parades I've ever been to. I've really only been to Orlando. Like, I've been wanting to go to Chicago. But probably next year, we'll try it. Anyways. So. Trying to protect the rights for our LGBTQ plus community is. It's like pulling teeth, you know, it's I don't understand why. Americans are always trying to make someone an enemy, right? Whether it's someone of a different religion, whether it's someone of a different skin color. Whether it's someone of a different sexuality or what they identify as. And. You would think that. As a government official. You would think as. Someone of political power, you would try and protect all Americans because when you take the oath of office, it doesn't say, do you protect the right to serve? Only the white people. Yes. I, I, I, that's what I know when you put your hand on that Bible or you put your hand up. You know up and you take that oath. You are swearing to protect everyone no matter what their race, creed, sexuality is, job, whatever the case may be is. So it baffles me that you have these government officials trying to everything in their godforsaken power. To make sure that our community. Is not protected, especially when you talk about students. And when you talk about workers, because you know, there are jobs out there that, you know, they find out your sexuality and. Some of them harass you. Some of them discriminate you, they don't invite you. And I'm not saying that. You know, they, they don't invite you to all the company parties, but maybe there's things they exclude you from. Right. Where they say inappropriate jokes when you were at work, whatever the case may be is you guys can think of an examples, but. Here's what this article specifically talks about. It says the Biden administration's effort to share a protections for the LGBTQ plus students and workers are potentially, or were potentially. Sorry. We're personally. Hindered by two separate court rulings on Thursday and Friday. In a preliminary injunction issued on Thursday, us district, judge Terry doubtly blocked. The Biden's administration for implementing the new federal protections for LGBT. Q students. Which are set to take effect August 1st in Louisiana, Mississippi, Montana, and Idaho. A separate ruling on Friday by a federal appeals court upheld an existing block on federal guidance seeking. To protect transgender students and workers in 20 states. The case doubt Lee ruled in is one of. More than half a dozen challenges and changes in the 1972 federal law that prohibits sex-based discriminations at schools. Among other things, the changes, aim to curb discrimination based on sex stereotypes, sexual orientation. Gender identity and sex characteristics, according to the department of education. The department spokesman, Vanessa, sending a statement after doubtedly issued the ruling, the department stands with the final title

Microphone (MAONO AU-AM200)-6:

Okay. I just had an education moment. So the department stands with the final title. Nine regulations released. In April 20, 24, and we'll continue to fight for every student. The new rules requires student schools to protect students from sex discrimination, including sexual violence, sex based harassment. Expanding that definition to include discrimination based on pregnancy. Or pregnancy related conditions like childbirth, termination of pregnancy or covering from pregnancy. The lawsuit. Brought by the GLP lead states argue that the Biden administration oversteps its authority. The plaintiffs are asking direly an appointee of a former. President Donald Trump. To strike down the ruling nationwide. LGBTQ plus advocates have argued that Thursday's ruling will have a dangerous impact on members of the community in the fourth states. Today's decision prioritizes anti LGBTQ plus hate over the safety and wellbeing of students. Human rights campaign, president Kelly Robinson said in the statement, this is a manga B atrics. With a dangerous goal of weaving discrimination into law. The appeals court maintain. Block on federal protections for train students and workers. The ruling two in one ruling issue Friday by the sixth us circuit court of appeals upheld a preliminary introduction. Issued nearly two years ago by a federal judge in a case brought by a GOP states against photo guidance. Intended to protect transgender students and workers in 20 states. The ruling allows the 20 states that continue and foreseen controversial laws without risk of retaliation. From the administration, including the loss of federal funding for schools. But guidance issued by department of education and equal employment opportunity commission is designed to protect transgender individuals. From a slew of anti-trans policies, including bands from school sport teams, bathroom locker rooms. Consistent with their gender identity and measures that allows employees to intentionally refuse to use a workers. Prefer pronouns. The statement says taken together. The states are trapped between choosing to enforce. State laws or receiving federal funds all while having to investigate gender identity and sexual orientation discrimination. Unlike before a circuit judge, John. Now bending row in the majority opinion. Which was joined by a judge, Julian arson, both judges were appointed by Trump. States with conflicting laws will be. Hampered in their ability to enforce their laws and the states will continue to face pressure to change their laws, to avoid legal consequences. And descent. Circuit. Judge Danny bogs. Say to, he would have wiped away the preliminary injunction and thrown the case out altogether. The judge say he didn't believe the plaintiffs happily. You'll write known as standing to bring the challenge. In the first place. The states that brought this challenge are Tennessee, Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Georgia, Idaho. Indiana. Kansas Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, and Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota and West Virginia. Jenya.

Stephan:

You would think. That as one of the best. F-ing countries. To ever live in. We would do everything we can to protect. Everyone who comes in this country. Right. But even when it comes to students, You know, Going into college, which we can talk about later. You would try and protect. Everyone's equal rights, you know? But you blocking. Important measures into the education system. And it baffles me. That we have to have all these protections. Let's just, let's just be honest times are changing and people need the change. But that's just the reality of it. But as we've seen time and time again, the conservative side does not like the LGBTQ plus community. Beta. In my opinion, I believe the conservative side sees, sees it as like an abomination. And I know that's probably a harsh word. But essentially that's what it is. You have conservatives who were like well, who cares about your pronouns? Who cares about this? Yes. I understand there there's, there's two sides to every conflict that you, that you're going to come against. Right. But just basic rights, basic protections for these students. Right. We can have a separate debate about transgender in sports. We can have separate debates about certain things, but just the basic protections of not being sexually harassed. You know, not having people, bullied students in school about their sexual orientation or if they had a pregnancy or if they had an abortion. These are just simple protections, common sense protections that are under the constitution, but yet we're making laws for them. Because we're seeing. The discriminatory effect that it's having on students and workers. Right. And so when you're paying these colleges, all this money. You're asking for that protection. I don't want to go to campus and feel like I'm not protected at campus. I want that campus, that university to make it very clear. Hey, we have a zero tolerance for this. But that's not how it is. Right. That's light when the NAACP came out with their statement that targeted. Our melanated community about joining sports, making sure. That if you're going to look at a college, made sure that they have DEI, which is diversity, equality and inclusion. In that college. Especially if you're going toward the south. I don't know how much more. This is why voting is so important. When you boil everything down, this is why loading is so important. And some of you. And I want to clear this up and yeah, I'm probably going to tangent. Some of you think it starts with the president? Which is important. Don't get me wrong. Most important one that we have. Well, one of them. Your local and state elections. Are the most important elections you need to be. Paying attention to. Because your local and state elections are going to dictate. What laws affect you? Immediately. So that means in your little town, when you have city hall. That's something you need to be paying attention to you when you have your state Senate and your state Congress. Those are the ones that you need to be paying attention to. When you have governor races, that's what you need to be paying attention to you. When you talk about Congress as in Washington, DC, that's something you need to be. Paying attention to. This all boils down to voting and why voting is so important. And making sure you pay attention. So when they were talking about woke a few years ago and they're like, well, woke is bad. Woke is good. You need to be woke. Woke is so important because when you're woke, you're starting to realize what the fuck is going on here. Right. When you are woke, you are realizing. That doesn't make sense. That doesn't make sense. Wait, wait, wait. This Congress voted for what. He's in what district? Right. When you're woke, you understand how much power you truly have in getting these people elected. You realize how much. Of your mouth is so powerful. It is so essential that you vote. And then it matters who you vote for. The president United States that's, that's important. It truly doesn't matter what. But your local and state. Oh, that's crucial. Very crucial. So we're going to move on. And I hate ending on that type of note, but. You need to understand the political climate that you're in. You need to understand who you're voting for. And why you need the vote. Because there's people out there. Who. Don't vote and then they complain. I don't like this law. I don't like this. I don't like that. Did you go vote? No. So shut up. If you don't vote, you can't say anything. And I know that probably might seem harsh and you're probably like stuff on that's a little know if you don't vote. You have no right to say anything. If things go south. If you don't vote. You can't be like, oh, I am an ally. We'll be LGBTQ plus community. If you're an ally, you would want to go vote. Making sure that we get equal protections, making sure that students and this isn't just college. This is for middle school. This is for high school as well. These protections still apply. You have to vote. And you have to know who you're voting for. And make sure that they align with your values. Hey ensure that they understand that, Hey, you know what? This is important to me. I want to make sure it's important to you. I want to make sure that women's rights is on your docket of always protecting. I want to make sure that birth control is access to every single one in. In America. I know you have one single vote, but I need to make sure that if this comes up. You're not going to be like, oh, well, no. Anyways, we're going to start spilling some tea on the D. Vitamin D all right. Yeah, just get your mind out of the gutter. Apparently us melanated people. We are not getting enough. Vitamin D we may think, you know, the sun. Is is given us everything, which what's your does. You know, we, we get a lot of stuff from the sun, especially because of our ancestors working on the fields and you know, our hair and all this other beautiful stuff. But vitamin D. Oh, man, we're missing that supplement. So we'll be right back as we take a quick break and I. Woosah. It's so funny that I, that, like I wrote a paper, I wrote two papers. For this last semester, one of them was voting. The other one was the, I was the EEI and both papers got an a, and I'm very passionate about both those. And if we had another paper to write, I would have probably wrote about women's rights, but we didn't, it was only two papers. Anyways, we'll be right back.

Microphone (Realtek(R) Audio)-4:

Grandma. I heard. You got some new tea about the family? Oh, yes. Come on in here. I got some stuff to tell you about chill cousins. I'm gonna go ahead and spill the tea on it.

Microphone (MAONO AU-AM200) & Camo-7:

Are you sure you're getting enough? D. Throughout the day. And when, I mean, the, I mean, Vitamin D. Okay. So. A recent study came out earlier this year, but. Before we start, I want to give a huge shout out to. The person who brought this to my attention, and that is my best friend. Amber. Amber and I were on the phone last week and We were talking and I was like, man, I just woke up from a nap and I'm tired. And she was like, are you sure you were. Are you sure you're getting enough? Vitamin D I was like, well, vitamin D doesn't. You know, affect me being tired, but apparently a recent study has actually linked. Vitamin D to being tired. But. Study before that. I said that how a lot of melanated people. Are not getting enough. Vitamin D light we're deficient. Some of y'all are getting the every night. But vitamin D you ain't get it off the bat.

Microphone (Realtek(R) Audio)-5:

2017. Study showed an increase in vitamin D deficiency diagnosis. Which researchers linked to an uptake in vitamin D requests indicate a rising interest in the nutrient. As more and more people become aware of the effects of vitamin D deficiency, like a higher risk of developing osteoporosis. And low mood and energy. And are diagnosing themselves increasing one's intake, the fail imperative. Now getting enough, vitamin D is a challenge yet. Is an essential vitamin meaning. That we have to get outside ourselves because the body won't produce enough of the vitamin. If you aren't getting significant sun exposure or into notch, doctor. The Tasha Selby Perkins. A family physician at Georgetown university. She goes on to say that vitamin D is a virtual aid calcium I'm in the process of building bone set per hymns and vitamin D deficiency can increase a person's risk of developing osteoporosis. It can take years of vitamin D deficiency to see effects and bone health. According to Dr. Alexia. A board certified family physician at one medical in North Carolina. She says more immediately. The things that I think about are fatigue and mood symptoms. Dr. Alexa goes on to say that there are plenty of people who report improvement in their energy. And improvement in their mood wants the vitamin D deficiency is corrected. Now vitamin D is also an anti-inflammatory and so it helps protect the brain over time. It can help the immune system function. Melanated people have to work a little harder to get the vitamin D so people with darker skin that have more melanin than people with lighter skin, and there are some wonderful health benefits of having more melon. Dr. Perkin says Mellon is fantastic because it protects us against skin cancer. But in protecting us against skin cancer, it blocks the UVB rays that the body needs to make. Vitamin D. So in that case, it means that we have to work a little harder to get enough sunlight we need for our body to meet vitamin D. So it's our Mellon that helps save us, but also we have to work against it a little bit to get that vitamin D for black and brown people. This means getting more sunlight without sunscreen each day. Eating foods with. High vitamin D and potentially speaking with your doctor about taking supplements. So when it comes to the sun, a fair skin person can spend about 20 minutes in direct sunlight without sunblock. And that will help them get the amount of vitamin D that they, the. She says, whereas brown people. We have to get out at least 30 to 40 minutes, depending on how much melanin you have in your skin. In order to get the amount of sunlight you need. To make that vitamin D. So the darker you are, you need to get shell black ass outside and start exercising. It's pretty much what she's saying. She goes on to say that regardless of your skin color, if you live in the United States, you probably not get enough sun exposure to make significant amounts of vitamin D. The standard recommendation of daily vitamin D intake is 400. International units for anyone under the age of one. And around 600. I use. For people ages one and above, according to the national Institute of health. Those over the age of seventies should aim about 800IUs standard recommendation for vitamin D levels intake start at a base level, assuming that you're not starting with a deficiency. and so the best approach is to actually talk to your family physician about what your current levels are. If you want to find out what your current vitamin D levels are, bring it up to your doctor. This is one of the levels in your body that can be checked with a blood test. And from that blood test results, your doctor can tell you exactly how much vitamin D supplement mentation. You need to get either your levels to get your levels back to normal. Or to maintain your current levels. Not every doctor will automatically check. Your vitamin D levels. So if you are a brown person or a melanated person, this is something you should probably bring up to your family doctor. When someone expresses that they're feeling. Depressive symptoms or have very low energy doctors will check your iron room. We'll check your blood count and then we'll check your vibe. The because he may be feeling sluggish mentally and physically, because you don't have nutrients. You need to build bone. Or to make red blood cells. Here are three best sources of vitamin D. Sunlight number one. Both physicians agree that sun exposure is the best way to get more vitamin D. They'll experts recommend. For how long you should sit in the sun without sunscreens do vary. Perkins suggests that at least 20 minutes of sunlight without sunscreen for everyone. And up to 30 to 40. Minutes for black and brown people. Tip number two is going to be your food. There are also food uterine. And add to your diet that are rich with vitamin D or in the Perkins. They include cow's milk, certain cheeses, including cottage, cheese. Fatty fish, including salmon swordfish. Egg yolk. Four to five things like certain non theory, milks, orange shoes, and cereal. And Cod liver oil. Ooh, that sounds nasty. Oh my God. Oh my God, this is. This, oh my God. All right, we're done. we're done. We're done. taking this. He's the doctor says. 2,005,000. Is very dangerous. The pills that I just showed you guys these right here. I got them from Walmart. Fine. Don't find this pill bottle because it says, I was thinking like 125 M C. G was like low, but then important the CS, it says 5,000. I you. Hell. No. And then in my men's daily. It says 10. So obviously. No. I have the receipt. I'm taking those back. I'm not, I'm not about to die today. No way. No, ma'am no ham, no Turkey. All right. Forget about that. If you have a low vitamin D deficiency, you're normal. As being linked to tired, get some more sleep. We'll be right back. And we're going to go straight to tips from a Greyhound driver.

Microphone (MAONO AU-AM200) & Camo-9:

If you. Have ever taken a public transit bus. You know, What's your in for. So I want to make sure that there are some tips. If you decide to ride a Greyhound. Bus. Anywhere. So. The first tip I will give you. And this is probably the most important tip is bringing a mask. And I see that. Because there's always one person on the bus who is going to be coughing. Hands down. We'll be coughing. And it won't be like one of those, like costly. Now it's. Yeah. Like they're about to die. So bring the face mask. Always and because people smell like I like. You know what. Womb tip number two. Hygiene. Shower before you get on the bus. Or if you are going to be traveling long distances, Bring some wipes with you. Like some people will literally walk on the bus. And they smell. Terrible. Okay. I'll give you one example. I was going from Phoenix to Albuquerque last week. And a young lady. Walks past me. And you know how you like smell something and you're like, Like, what the hell is that smell? Yeah. It's so bad. I had to smell myself to make sure it wasn't me. Like that's how bad, you know, the smell was, please for the sake of everyone on that bus. Hygiene. Bring some deodorant wipes. So you can wipe yourself up in the bathroom. Bring toothpaste so you can brush your teeth. You know, whatever you need to do to keep yourself. Hydrogenated please do. Okay. So tip one, bring a mass tip. Number two. Shower hygiene, because some of the, some of y'all just stink. Tip number three. I would say is by the second seats. Now here's people for some reason, get on a Greyhound bus and they act bougie. Seriously. You paid$68 for your ticket. Like. This isn't Southwest, this isn't American, this isn't Delta. This is Greyhound. So whatever bougieness you think you got? Think again, I. And people don't like sitting next to other people. I understand you don't want to sit in that city other person, but when you have a full bus, you don't have a choice. Unless you bought the second seat. So if you can't afford it, By the second seat, because that will save you a, you have more room. Because let me tell you, there has been times where I've seen people where they looked like they were squished. So by the second city, you'll have more room to spread out. You can, you know, it's just more comfortable. And like I said, you don't have to sit next to someone or someone sitting next to you that either stinks. Hygiene is terrible or it's coughing or. God, you have those people who are on the phone and they don't know what an inside voice is. So they're talking extremely loud. So. Yeah. So tip number three. By the second seat. Tip number four. And I would say it's probably one of the most important ones, but this is something that happens not. Often, but it does happen. If you have any type of medical condition that requires you to eat. Please bring snacks with you. Not every route that we do is stopping at a McDonald's or burger king or subway or something like that. Most of the places that we stop our gas station. So you're going to eat a lot of gas station food, like hot dogs and all that other stuff. So you have some type of dietary need. Please bring snacks. I had this one lady get mad at me. Because she thought we were going to be like stopping at McDonald's and all this other stuff. And I was like, ma'am this is not like Kilimanjaro. Okay. This is not some fancy safari or, or we're stopping and looking at all the different animals. This isn't an Epcot. We're not eating around the world. This is a Greyhound get on the bus. We're going to go where we need to get to, if it's gas stations, it's gas stations. I don't know what to tell you. You can complain to Greyhound, but they're not going to care. Okay. And I had one guy, he was like, oh, all I got is vouchers for me. Donald's. Okay, dude, what do you want me to do? Like. There was no McDonald's around here. So please. Bring snacks. Because you're going to need them throughout the trip. And I would say. My fifth tip. Are there anything of how it is if you have to be somewhere important. Please make sure you leave as soon as possible. What I mean by that is that. And this was a while ago. I had a guy who his father passed away. And he needed to get to the funeral. And. Luckily, he made it there. I don't even know if he made it there on time to be honest, but he needed to be there by Sunday and he's traveling. I think this was probably like Friday or something like that. And he was like, oh, I've been delayed. I bus has been canceled. And I was like, you didn't know, you don't really go to man. I would've left the day. I found out, especially if you're taking a Greyhound bus. You're taking Greyhound anywhere and it, and you need to get there and it's important. The day that you find out is that day they believe. Because there will be delays. I'm not saying all the time, but you should always be prepared. That there could be delays or bus gets canceled. And that happens for numerous reasons. The bus breaks down., We can't control everything. Tip number six, and then we're going to cut this off. Tip number six. Is please bring an external battery for your cell phone. I had a bus. Few days ago. We're only one side of the bus worked. For electric outlets. And so I told everyone on one side, I was like, you better make friends with the other side, so you can charge your phone. Please. Always. Bring an external battery. When I go on these trips, I always bring two. Fully charged just in case. But those are my tips. I want to keep this section because not only do I want to give you guys more tips of things, I think they're on the road. But I also want to bring you guys some of the. Easy stories that I like go through on a daily base with these. With, with people. I like bringing these stories because I got to tell someone, like, I talk shit with other drivers about the crazy stuff that we go through. But I want you guys out in the world to understand what we have to go through when we're driving these buses. And you have people like, you know, I had one guy, he was like, I don't want to sit with another guy. What. I don't want to sit next to another guy. So he tried to sit next to this lady and this lady was like, absolutely not. And I'm like, why won't you sit with this other guy? Like you have enough leg room. Like, I don't want to sit next to a guy. What the, what. What the hell is wrong with what. I'm like, okay. Whatever. Just either sit down or get off the bus. One of the two options I don't at this point, I don't really care where you sit, I could have a whole book or a whole comedy tour of the stuff that we see on a daily basis. And if you're in Atlanta, Georgia, Oh, y'all are crazy up there. Anyways, we are running out of time. We are going to go to our. Final thoughts.

As I said, this is pride month. So it's, we are celebrating pride. We are celebrating all the accomplishments that we've had. We're also looking at all the challenges. Ahead. Because there's always going to be challenges ahead and we always need to look for too. What we need to do to better prepare ourselves. Why there, as I said, and one of the. Biggest tools that we. You know, I have at our disposal is ODing. It's the biggest weapon in our arsenal. And going out there and making sure that we are speaking our truths and voting for people who are aligned. With our vision.. With that being said, I think everyone who is an ally. I think everyone who's in the community just keep doing what you do. You know, it's we, we, we have these battles and we win these battles. But ultimately this is a war. You know, I, and I hate to put it in that type of aspect, but I need you guys to truly understand, like, this is a war that we are fighting. And there are going to be small battles that we won't win. You know, and there's some battles that we will win. But it is a war that is going to keep going and we need. Every bit of arsenal that we can get to be a thousand percent honest with you. Next episode. I want to talk about project 2025. I was doing some research into it. And it's, it's very interesting. So if you want to get ahead on our next episode and know what we're talking about. Type in. Trump project 2025. It's like a manifest of everything that he wants to do. If he gets reelected into office, it's about 200 pages. And it's. I haven't delved into the pages part. I'm just looking at like different abstracts of it. So look that up. And that's what we'll talk about. Probably in a few days after I edit this and publish it. As I said to everyone who listens. I thank you for your support on the channel. I'm always trying to bring a new aspect into it. And we're working on. Different projects behind the scenes to. Meet the podcast. A little more entertaining in a sense. Until then. Be kind, be safe, be different. Treat everyone the way you want to be treated. And that's it. This is the last conversation. For tonight. Be safe. Everyone.
